How much does a tattoo cost at your studio?
Small and simple tattoos start from around 1 million IDR. Larger or more detailed pieces depend on size, design, and style. Send us your idea and we’ll give you a free quote — no pressure, no upselling, just honest advice and full transparency from the start.
Is it safe to get a tattoo in Bali?
Yes — as long as you choose the right studio. At Canggu Ink Club, we follow hospital-grade hygiene standards, use brand-new needles, sterilised equipment, and high-quality vegan ink. Our space is clean, cool, and professional — no shortcuts, no risks.
Do you take walk-ins or is it by appointment only?
Both! We always do our best to fit in walk-ins, but booking ahead is the safest way to secure your preferred artist and time. If an artist is available, we’ll take you right away — if not, we’ll help you lock in the next open spot.
What’s the minimum charge for a tattoo?
Our minimum charge is 1 million IDR. This covers setup, equipment, and proper sterilisation — even for small tattoos. It keeps our standards high and ensures every client gets the same level of care, no matter the size of the tattoo.
Do you provide numbing cream?
Yes — we offer numbing cream if you’d like it. We recommend applying it around 60–90 minutes before your session for best results. Please let us know beforehand so we can guide you on what works best for your skin and tattoo placement.
Can I swim or go to the beach after getting a tattoo?
You need to avoid swimming, surfing, or soaking your tattoo for at least 2 weeks. Ocean water, pools, and even long baths can slow healing and affect the result. That’s why most people book their tattoos at the end of their Bali trip.
How long does it take for a tattoo to heal?
Most tattoos take around 2 weeks to heal on the surface, though complete healing can take a bit longer depending on size and placement. You might see slight redness or flaking — that’s normal. Follow our aftercare instructions and your tattoo will settle well!
Do you offer touch-ups if my tattoo fades?
Yes — all tattoos done at Canggu Ink Club come with a complimentary touch-up if needed. Once your tattoo is fully healed, just reach out and we’ll book you in. Touch-ups are rare when you follow our aftercare, but we’ve got you covered if it happens.
Can I get tattooed if I’ve been drinking or sunburnt?
No — alcohol thins your blood and makes you bleed more, which affects how the ink sits in your skin. If you’re sunburnt, your skin is too damaged to tattoo safely. Wait until it’s fully healed — we promise, it’s worth the patience.
Can I bring my own design or reference photo?
Absolutely. Bring your ideas, references, or sketches — our artists can work with what you have or help refine it into something just for you. We’ll make sure it fits your body, style, and flow before we ever touch the needle.
